ReplyDeleteI have bought an electric motorcycle in China. It cost me 2000~3000 yuan. It's about 500$. If I will buy an electric car I won't spend more than 20000$.

ReplyDeleteThere are some power charging stations in PEI. However, there are only a few today. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Quebec and Ontario will give you a $1000 rebate if you make a charging station at your house.

ReplyDeleteTesla Motors Inc. is a famous electric car company in the world. I found some information from the company. They create the car was very fantastic and fashionable but it is still very expensive.
So if it the cost can't become cheaper. It is just only a little people can have and it isn't popular in the world. It is my own opinion!
I think the fully electric car is not so good, for long distances you have to stop and recharge your battery, so the combination of electric and ignition system will be the best way to save invironment and do the job together. Toyota has a model named "Prius Plug-in Hybrid' does it nice.you can see specification of that at:

The consumption of gas is:
EV mode (Le/100km)
2.6/2.3 (city/highway)
Hybrid mode (L/100km)
4.7/4.8 (city/highway)
It means you will go on the road and sometimes battery will run the car and sometimes engine will do it also recharge the battery at same time, Also it uses the road conditions and wheel powers to charge the battery. So you will never stop on the road for recharging the power source.
Electric car have sereral advantages. It has energy efficient, environmentally friendly, performance benefits and reduce energy.
ReplyDeleteBut it almost has some disadvantages. Likes driving range - Gasoline vehicles can go over 300 miles but EVs only 100-300 miles. And the recharge-time - Although it fully recharging, it only can take 4-8 hours, is not enough to use.
So I think Eelectric car is not my cup of tea.
I found the price of electric car are not cheap all around $30000 or above, except Renault sold in France around or below $20000. But I found Ford C-Max Energi looks quite good. Currently the price is $32950. It is the most efficient plug-in hybrid electric car on the market and good for larger family as it seats up to 5people. Eventhough, I won't buy the electric car until it becomes popular and good feedback is from the market. Of course, the price then will be down.

Prius is a hybrid vehicle. Compare HYBRID and FULL ELECTRIC Power cars, the Prius can driver farther than the other Full Electric. As Toyota’s conventionally powered vehicles plus world’s most-proven hybrid technology, to me that is very important.Cause that technology means more safty. I can driv my car to travle farther.An other reason is Prius has lower Fuel Consumption. It expend 4.6L/100KM in city and 4.9L/100km on High way.
Abot engine, The 2015 Prius has 1.8 litre Hybrid Synergy Drive, it's enough to me. IF I put down the back seats that Prius has more cargo room than other. It be suited to family user.
